This session is bringing the studio to your home, or documenting life just as it is right in this moment. Choose between a hybrid in home lifestyle session, or completely posed studio session in the comfort of your own home to remember the early days.
FAQ
How many pictures will we receive?
The newborn session fee includes the FULL gallery of 75+ images. This includes any posing combination with family members with baby, one on one photos with baby, baby by themself, and more. Your gallery will be completed within 3 weeks of your session date, when I will email your gallery link to download your images directly to your computer.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
Ideally, the first 5-14 days are best for booking a newborn session. They still tiny and new, and extra sleepy, which is ideal for this session.
What happens if baby does not sleep during the session?
Sometimes these new babies have a plan of their own and just want to see what's going on in the world. If they are awake and happy, we continue as normal. If baby is awake and unhappy, then we will do whatever we can to comfort baby so that they can be calm and content. In the event that they are having a hard time settling (believe me this does happen sometimes!) then we will reschedule to another date hoping that baby is in better spirits.
How should we dress for our family session?
I recommend sticking to a color pallet of 3-4 colors with one neutral base color (think tan, black, white), then add pops of color or texture with other pieces. For example, if you choose khaki pants, you could pair this with a cream or white sweater, Mom wearing a dress with color and a pattern, then have the kiddos match the colors the parents are wearing. I offer a style guide to help you narrow it down for your session as well!
Where will the session take place?
From the studio, to the great outdoors, or in the comfort of your home, it is your choice entirely. If you are wanting posed newborn sessions, those take place at your home because they can take some time. I try to be in and out of your home within 3 hours, but it can go as long as 5 hours. Baby runs the schedule! If baby needs to be fed, then baby eats, if baby needs a diaper change, baby gets a diaper change, etc.
